The program explores the lake’s rich history and looks back at Lincoln Beach, the origin of Lake Vista and other neighborhoods, along with the over five-mile long seawall that was created in a two-decade long land reclamation project.
Included in the documentary are rare photos and footage. Among those interviewed are Dr. John, “Deacon John” Moore, Frank Davis, Chef John Besh, Harry Batt, Jr. – President and General Manager of Pontchartrain Beach and Carlton Defrechou – Executive Director of the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation.
DVD extra includes an interview with Harry Batt, Jr. on the history of Pontchartrain Beach.
